Vocabulary & Spelling BONUS POINTS

 

Allow me to clarify the bonus opportunity for spelling and vocabulary. 

To receive up to 15 bonus points, you can write your spelling and vocabulary (words and definitions) up to three times.  Each time will earn you 5 points.  The maximum amount of times you need to write your words is 3.  I was unclear in my earlier description.  

Below is an example.

7 & 8 Grade

Bookkeeping

Granddaughter

Highhanded

Illiterate

Immaterial

Irrational

Lighthouse

Misstep

Newsstand

Reenter

Stomachache

Taillight

Absurd-inconsistent with reason or accepted ideas, ridiculous

Accommodate-to have adequate space for

Adolescence- the development of a young person into an adult

Balk-to stop short, refusing to move or act

Bluntly- rudely or abruptly, without tact

Egotism-conceit, self-exaltation

Elocution- the art of public speaking

Extricate- to set free, disentangle

Silhouette- shaded outline

Unanimous- to completely agree

This can be handwritten or made into study cards or a quizlet for one bonus opportunity.  After the first time, the other two must be handwritten.    

This will earn you 5 bonus points.  You can do this 3 times for a total of 15 points!
