Week of December 4 -8 Overview

Below is a brief overview of what next week will look like for English classes.  If you have time this weekend, work ahead.  I appreciate the hard work you are putting into the Christmas play. You definitely earn your credits while working on the public performances we get to produce!

7 & 8 Grade:  

• Finish reading Out of the Dust.  Read pages 153-173 tonight (Monday)
• Work on the electronic assignment and submit it electronically.
• Spelling Test 12 will be Monday.
• Complete work for list 13. *I gave you words for Friday.  Do the Bonus!
• Spelling Test 13 will be Friday.
• Grammar (Action, Linking, Helping Verbs)
• Distinguishing Verbs from Verbals
• IXL Diagnostic Arena (15 questions in arena.  DO THIS ON YOUR OWN TIME BY WEDNESDAY!)
• Writing:  Compare and Contrast

9 & 10 Grade:  

• Finish reading The Shack  and submit packet  * Read chapters 12-14 tonight (Monday)
• Compose reflection Spelling/Vocabulary List 5A quiz Friday
• essay and submit  electronically (on reading)

• theme, tone, symbolism, characters, conflict, resolution

11 & 12 Grade:
