- Don't forget to do IXL each week. It only takes 15 questions in the arena!
- Chapel notes will be taken up this week as a grade. From this week, until further notice, I will assign when chapel notes are due. I do not feel like the current method is working very well, so I am going to try something else.
- I will have a sheet for you to take notes on. You can get those from me, or outside of my classroom on the wall by the door.
- Notes are due after chapel.
- If you are absent on chapel days, I will give you the link to a message you can watch and take notes on for the grade.
- Be prepared for the Pronoun Quiz we did not get to take last Friday.

- Grade 3-4 - 500 Words
- Grade 5-6 - 800 words
- Grade 7-8 - 800 words
- Grade 9-10 - 1,000 words
- Grade 11-12 - 1,200 words
1. Submissions must reflect the original creative thinking of the student. Generative AI may not be used to write, rewrite, or substantially edit the student's work.
2. Students must disclose any use of AI tools in their writing process (e.g., brainstorming, grammar checking). Undisclosed use of AI-generated content is considered a violation of contest integrity
If it is permissible within school and classroom policy, students may use AI tools for the following purposes, with proper disclosure:

- Idea generation or brainstorming (e.g., asking for writing prompts)

- Grammar or spelling suggestions

- Vocabulary enhancement (e.g., synonyms or definitions)
Students must include a brief AI Use Statement with their submission, such as:
“I used Grammarly to check spelling and ChatGPT to brainstorm ideas for my story.”
