WE WILL HAVE A QUIZ ON THE ABOVE PASSAGE ON MARCH 25.  IT WILL BE AN INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT/QUIZ.  YOU MUST WORK ALONE. 

Soul Survivor Permission Slips are due Monday, March 9.  Please make sure you bring those with the $25 fee to participate.  We are excited and look forward to sharing this time wit you all!

Research Papers are due on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.  If they are late 10 points will be deducted per day.  Make sure that you follow the correct format and examples I have given you.  The order should go like this:  

Title Page, Paper, Reference Page, Integrity Statment

**7th Grade Review Spelling Test will be Monday, March 9

We will continue with Grammar Testing and Quizzes this week.  Remember, not all quizzes will be posted on the blog.  It is the old "pop quiz" that many of you are familiar with.  However, I will never quiz you on something I have not gone over with you.  So, if you have a quiz that is unannounced, it will be on the day's lesson, or the reading assignment I gave you the night before.  Be responsible and ask questions, I am here to help you!

This week:

Monday- In each class we will work on a writing tip:  First Words of Each Sentence; we will review spelling for this week's test; we will begin grammar work on objects, complements, phrases, and clauses

FOR EACH GRADE:  Spelling tests will be on Friday, March 13, 2026.  Beginning the 4th nine weeks, you will need to study all of the words on your spelling list.  I will not be providing  the ones that you will be tested on.  With that, I will increase the number of bonus points you earn for writing your spelling words, and words and definitions three times.  It will increase from 10 to 15 points.

MONDAY NIGHT HOMEWORK:  

9/10 Grade:   read chapters 1 & 2 in Gathering Blue

8th Grade:  read chapter 1 in Gathering Blue

*Each class will begin a unit on Public Speaking.  Speeches will start on Monday,  March 23.  

Reading for the week:

7- We will conclude Out of the Dust and you will have a test on Wednesday on the book.

8- We will begin The Giver Companion Series.

9-11- We will begin Gathering Blue

12- We will conclude TKAM
