To begin the week we will look at last week's assignments and use Monday as the catch-up day. Many students were absent on Friday. I was asked about the volleyball girls going to the tournament on Friday, and that was my understanding; so, I intentionally had classes that would not punish them for being absent (on top of the remote learning day for Thursday.) Nevertheless, that did not happen. It was disappointing to me that instead, we just had several absences. I do appreciated the honesty of parents that called, or answered our call, and told us their players were staying home and not going to Beckley. Thank you for your honesty.
With that said, remember that you have several things due on Monday.
Tuesday- Friday
- Spelling Test 9 for grades 7-10 will be this Friday.
- 11th-12th Grade will have Test 4
- Keep up with reading assignments
- 7th and 9-10th Grades are memorizing a poem (quiz will be next week)
- 8th Grade will begin a persuasive essay this week
- 11-2 Grade will being "Macbeth"
- 7th Grade is reading The Tale of Despereaux
- 8th, 9th, & 10th is beginning a poetry unit and will have a poetry vocabulary quiz on Wednesday
